Another Friday night pre-season affair, notable for a Pollok cult hero (who shall remain nameless) being asked to leave the field of play after 18 minutes before he got sent off!
First visit here was under the floodlights when they switched their fixture with Ardeer to a Friday night. Was back the following month filming a friendly between Christmas & New Year when they played Auchinleck. Winton Park is highly recommended if you have never been there before.
Played in between Christmas & New Year of Pollok's season in the Super First, I was at this game, but Lokpars was doing the filming (hence the much improved quality!)
On a day when the West Region card had been decimated by cold weather, things were a lot milder in Angus. A lovely day out despite the game being described by the Lochee Harp Twitter as one of the worst 0-0's you're likely to see. Judge for yourself...
Filmed on a typical Scottish summer evening (ie pishing it doon), this was a very entertaining pre-season affair. Drove past the ground about 4 times though as it is quite well hidden.
A weekend off for Pollok tied in nicely with a Friday night game up North. Stayed overnight in the Granite City so I could take in another game in the region on the Saturday (see Spey Valley United). Cracking vantage point at Keith Park, and floodlights too.
